John Wanless, TDSB

February 19, 2015

Minus 30 with windchill today, and John Wanless in the TDSB

The chatter at the skating rink after my student presentation had moms & dads show up this evening braving the freezing temps.  A great parent audience tonight, organized by a mom who did everything she had to, to get the community out!  Thank You!

John English, TDSB

February 18, 2015

John English in the TDSB.  Two assemblies today with Grade 4/5/6 & 7/8s.  One teacher commented “we have never seen the 7/8s so quiet for 60min”.   Based on that – my message got through.  An excellent parent audience this evening, who stayed close to two hours.  Thank You!

Saint Gabriel Archangel, Barrie

February 17, 2015

From Mississauga to Barrie today and my second stop at Saint Gabriel Archangel.

I was only able to speak to parents this evening (some brought their children).  The reception was incredible and it resulted in a return visit in the Fall to speak with students, and parents again!  Thank You!

St Rita, Brampton

February 12, 2015

St Rita in Brampton today – as fate would have it.  It turned out to be an awesome day with students and parents. I will summarize the day, with a quote from the school Principal

“I cannot say how grateful I am to have had you come to our school and speak to my students and parents. The students were spellbound as you spoke to them and, as later reported to me by parents, they absorbed and consolidated the information that you shared.”  Principal, St Rita

George Hamilton, Port Hope

February 10, 2015

Port Hope / Cobourg visiting George Hamilton & North Hope Schools today.

Two of the smallest schools I have visited (ever), and with big hearts! You could feel it as soon as you walked into the schools.  The communities partnered to have me speak to the students and parents today.

Thanks for a very unique experience in your communities.

Westmount Collegiate, York Region

February 9, 2015

Today I spoke with the Grade 9s for 70min (very attentive group), and then Grade 10s for 50min (with great Q&A) at Westmount in Thornhill.  This evening a group of parents from the school, and other schools attended their version of the presentation.  Thanks to one participant who has attended for this third time in two years.

“Excellent Presentation” Ella, Parent – Westmount

“Thank you for meeting with our students and parent community yesterday.  You were amazing!  Your presentations were very well received yesterday by both parents and students.  The verbal feedback I heard from parents was very positive.  You really made us think about how important it is to protect your online presence… I definitely will recommend you to my Principal colleagues.”  Vice Principal, Westmount Collegiate Institute

Mountain Secondary, Hamilton

February 6, 2015

Mountain Secondary in Hamilton had me speak to the whole student body today.

It was a pleasure delivering my message to your students.  The one on one sessions after with their questions was a great sign of their interest with making changes to their online lives.  Thank You for the opportunity.
