A wonderful group of students today at Ecole St Antoine. Thank You for having me speak with your student body – and a great job by parent council to setup this evenings parents forum. What brings a smile to my face is seeing a student I presented to during the day, return at night with her mom and say “I told her she needed to attend”. The message worked!

An excellent day at St Marguerite D’Youville – both student presentations went into overtime with Q&A. The parent community this evening was engaging with Q&A. Thanks to all the parents to shared stories with me on what their child told them about the day, and how they would change their “online ways”. Loved hearing them all! Thanks for having me, and see you at your neighbouring school soon!

I’ve just completed a new section in my presentation covering Online Privacy. After speaking with 127,000 students, it’s funny how they seem to “expect online privacy by default”, but don’t quite understand how to address it. While verbally addressing it all of the last school year, I have now added visuals to help them better identify the “how and why” of Online Privacy.

After taking some time off to spend with family – it’s back to work! I have updated my presentation, which is now approx 35% newer content than just six weeks ago! When I was a student, it was this time of year that hearing “back to school” was not fun… but now, the thought of speaking with students and parents again is very exciting! I am looking forward to getting back to school.
